Survival After Seventy-Five

 

           My son, Jim is building a new fence front with a gate and this is the beginning of a longer project to replace an old fence.  The cost of lumber is high so we are doing a little at a time.

      Somehow, a little gecko has found it way into my house and now he seems to want back outside.  I opened a window in hope it will go out and if it does, I will pull out the screen to make sure it goes into the backyard.  If I had enough nerve, I would pick it up and take it outside.  I can't stand touching little critters so I will wait until I could think of a better way to release it.

Not so perfect apple pie and yet, tastes perfect, made from scratch down to flakey crust.

     I cooked a huge pot of minestrone soup for supper one night and lunches throughout the week.
